Year 7 Sports Day Champions! What a fantastic day of competition, teamwork and school spirit from our Year 7 students! 1st Place: England (White) 2nd Place: France (Blue) 3rd Place: Spain (Red) 4th Place: Germany (Black) A huge congratulations to all students who took part and gave their best throughout the day. A special mention goes to Oliver, Lois, Martha and Sahil, who made school history in the Year 7 Mixed 4x100m Relay. The team shattered the previous school record, setting a new benchmark of 65.17 seconds! An incredible achievement and a moment to remember. Barcelona Trip - Last Day Update Boat trip was amazing, doing some last minute shopping and grabbing lunch before heading back for the journey home.

Ford Castle Residential Our students had an absolute blast on the residential at Ford Castle! They really gave everything a go, stepping outside of their comfort zones and embracing every challenge that came their way. It was so lovely to see students supporting one another, building new friendships, and growing in confidence throughout the trip. From conquering fears on the zip wire to working together whilst river rafting, they represented North Gosforth Academy brilliantly every step of the way. We are incredibly proud of their attitude, resilience, and willingness to get involved. Memories were made, barriers were broken, and lots of fun was had along the way! Stepping Out of Our Comfort Zones! Over the last two days, our students have been taking part in exciting Cheerleading and Street Dance workshops, embracing the opportunity to try something new and challenge themselves. From learning new routines to building confidence and teamwork skills, it has been fantastic to see so many students getting fully involved, supporting one another, and giving their all. The energy, enthusiasm, and determination on display have been incredible! We are extremely proud of the hard work, commitment, and positive attitudes shown throughout the workshops. Inspiring Assembly with Ricardo Erasmus As part of our commitment to developing positive values and empowering young people, this week we were delighted to welcome Ricardo Erasmus, a transformational coach and youth mentor, to deliver an engaging and thought-provoking assembly to our KS3 students. Drawing on over two decades of experience, Ricardo shared powerful messages about the importance of community, personal responsibility, and supporting one another. Students were encouraged to reflect on the impact of their actions, take accountability for their choices, and recognise the strength that comes from working together towards shared goals. The assembly was perfectly aligned with our values, promoting both Kindness and Accountability while fostering a strong sense of collaboration and belonging.
