Today, students took part in an important assembly delivered by Northumbria Police, focusing on the impact of hate crime and the importance of respect, inclusion and understanding within our communities. The session helped students understand what hate crime is, how it can affect individuals and communities, and why it is vital to challenge discrimination, prejudice and harmful language. Students were encouraged to reflect on the power of their words and actions, both in school and online, and were reminded how to report concerns and seek support if needed. 🏆📚 History Club Takes on The Chase! Our History Club recently enjoyed a special History-themed version of The Chase, planned and hosted by one of our talented Year 10 students. Questions covered topics including the Battle of Hastings, medieval life, the Gunpowder Plot and even some modern politics. There was also a fun round featuring school room codes and subject leaders! The challenge for the students? To answer more questions correctly than their teacher acting as The Chaser. 🎉 A fantastic week of achievements for our Year 8 students! A huge congratulations to our Week 5 Bronze Award winners, who last week all reached an incredible 150+ Praise Stamps. What a brilliant achievement and a reflection of their hard work, positive attitude and commitment to academy life. 👏 Special recognition goes to Oliver, Gabrielle and Hayden, who have each reached an amazing 250 Praise Stamps and achieved their Silver Award!
