Future Leaders Programme – University of Bath Visit Our NGA students have returned home safely after an inspiring visit to the University of Bath as part of the Future Leaders Programme. Working in mixed teams with students from schools across the country who shared similar subject interests, they were challenged to create and present display boards exploring different routes into their chosen careers. Their projects examined both traditional university degree pathways and apprenticeship routes, showcasing the opportunities available after school. Students presented work completed to an exceptional standard, sharing their ideas and findings with University of Bath students and gaining valuable feedback along the way. The experience provided an excellent opportunity to collaborate with new people, develop presentation skills and gain a deeper understanding of higher education and future career options. We are incredibly proud of their hard work, professionalism and enthusiasm throughout the programme. Year 10 Students Receive Their Well-Earned DofE Bronze Certificates! Congratulations to our Year 10 students who have successfully completed their Duke of Edinburgh Bronze Award! Their final challenge saw them embark on a two-day expedition along a section of the iconic Hadrian's Wall long-distance footpath, marking the culmination of a year of dedication, perseverance and achievement. Throughout the programme, students have made a positive impact through volunteering in the local community, taken part in a range of sporting activities and developed valuable new skills. The DofE Award helps young people build resilience, confidence and independence while gaining life experiences that are highly valued by employers, colleges and universities. Celebrating Our Inspire Coffee Morning It was wonderful to welcome colleagues from across our Trust (Gosforth Group) to our Inspire Coffee Morning. Our Inspire provision, based at North Gosforth Academy, supports students from throughout our Trust by providing personalised pathways that help young people overcome barriers to attendance and learning. We focus on building confidence, developing life skills, and achieving success both in and beyond the classroom. Our students were proud to share what they have been learning, talk about how they are enjoying the provision, and celebrate the successes they have achieved along the way. Their confidence, enthusiasm and personal growth were clear to see, and they represented themselves brilliantly. Visitors enjoyed the opportunity to speak with students, learn more about their individual journeys, and sample a selection of delicious homemade treats alongside a warm drink. The morning was a fantastic opportunity to showcase the impact of Inspire and the positive difference it makes in supporting young people from across our Trust to thrive, succeed and realise their potential. Students on the Future Leaders Programme Explore Bath Our North Gosforth Academy students on the programme's trip to Bath University enjoyed a city tour and some well-earned free time exploring the beautiful city of Bath. With glorious sunshine throughout the day, students had the opportunity to take in the city's rich history, stunning architecture and vibrant atmosphere while spending time together outside of the university programme.
