We are delighted to announce that a new cohort of North Gosforth Academy students has been selected to take part in the Villiers Park Future Leaders Programme, an exciting initiative that supports young people in developing the confidence, skills and aspirations needed to succeed in education, careers and beyond. 

The programme is designed to empower young people to make confident choices about their future through a combination of one-to-one coaching, leadership opportunities, student-led projects and experiences that broaden horizons and raise aspirations. Throughout their time on the programme, our students will have the opportunity to explore future education and career pathways, while developing the personal qualities that will help them achieve their goals.

As part of the programme, students will take part in tailored coaching sessions that encourage them to reflect on their ambitions, identify potential barriers and create realistic pathways towards success. This approach helps students develop resilience, motivation and self-belief, enabling them to take greater ownership of their future decisions. 

The Future Leaders Programme also provides opportunities for students to participate in leadership challenges and community-focused projects. These experiences are designed to help young people understand the positive impact they can have on those around them while developing valuable skills such as teamwork, communication, problem-solving and leadership. 

In addition, students will benefit from a range of education and career insight opportunities, including university visits, residential experiences and employer engagement activities. These experiences provide first-hand exposure to the many pathways available after school and help students make informed choices about their future education and career ambitions.

The programme aligns closely with our commitment to Creating Futures, giving students access to experiences that encourage curiosity, ambition and a belief in their own potential. By expanding their understanding of the opportunities available to them, students are better equipped to make confident decisions and pursue their aspirations with determination. 

We are incredibly proud of the students selected for this year's cohort and look forward to following their progress over the coming years. We have no doubt that they will embrace the opportunities ahead, grow as leaders and role models within our school community, and take important steps towards achieving their future goals.
