Dear Parents/Carers,
Since we wrote to you two days ago, I am afraid there has been an increase in the number of staff who will be striking on Wednesday 1st February. We have therefore had to make the difficult decision to close the school to students in Year 10 also. We ask you to make arrangements for childcare for this date. If you child’s teacher is in school on the 1st, work will be set on Frog that can be completed at home.
We understand the inconvenience this may cause you and apologise for the change in arrangements. Please be assured that we never take the decision to close or partially close a school lightly. Under these circumstances and due to the number of staff we are expecting to be on strike, we cannot offer our usual school operation safely.
The next planned strike action will take place on Tuesday 28th February and we will be in touch with further details about arrangements for that day.
